KIADB TAKEN TO TASK FOR NOT ALLOTTING LANDS TO INDUSTRIES

Mysore, Aug. 28 (RR & KMC)- The Joint Director of District Industrial Centre (DIC) H. Prakash today alleged that the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) was not allotting lands to Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs).

He was speaking at the seminar on 'Technology Adoption for Increased Productivity', held under the joint auspices of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) and Processware Systems Private Limited, at Hotel Sandesh The Prince here.

Anup Pujari, in his speech, assured to convey the concern to the State Government. "Mysore is being projected as the best destination for IT development. In the field of BT, the city has CFTRI and with several Science and Technology (S&T) institutions here, it is also considered as an academic sector of excellence for S&T," Pujari said and recalling the Chief Minister's vision of "Brand Bangalore is the Best" slogan under which plans were afoot to develop Bangalore, Mysore and Mangalore as IT destinations, opined that IT industries must also be taken to the rural sectors and its benefits must reach the people.

Surjit Singh, Director of Electronic and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ECSEPC), Bangalore, Chandrashekhar, Managing Director of Technology Upgradation Council, R. Gurumurthy, CEO of Processware Systems and Suresh Maharaj, Country Manager of Processware Systems were also present on the dais.
