MP for new technology in cooperative banking

BELGAUM: Member of Parliament Suresh Angadi has stressed the need to emphasis implementation of modern technology in improving the cooperative banking sector. Adopting newer technology would help boost banking industry.

Inagurating a workshop of Karnataka Cooperative Banking Computerisation organised by Processware in Belgaum on Monday, he appreciated the efforts being made by Processware in the process of computerisation of cooperative banking sector.

Mr. R Gurumurthy, CEO of Processware, said the 'bank software' brought out by his company to simplify cooperative banking sectors had given a new lease of life to rural banking system. The company had been extending hi-tech facilities to cooperative organisations in Karnataka since 1995, he said.

He also briefed on how his company's software was being used by banks to streamline the banking system. His company's software was used in about 250 cooperative financial institutions across the State.
